Tyrrell County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions


January Session 1814

Ordered that John McClees have leave to administer on the estate of Harvey Charles and have given bond in the sum of two thousand dollars & has given for security Jno. Alexander son of Henry & Joseph McClees.

Ordered that John McClees administrator of the estate of Harvey Charles deceased sell the estate of said deceased & make return to next term.

April Session 1814

An inventory & account sales of the estate of Harvey Charles was returned to court on oath by Jno. McClees administrator & filed.

April Session 1815

John McLeasey returned into court an inventory of some part of the estate of Harvey Charles deceased, at same time returned an account of sales of part of said deceaseds estate to amount of five shillings.

Ordered by the court that Colo. Jesse Alexander Saml. Spruill Esqr. and Henry Alexander Senr. audite and settle the estate of Harvey Charles deceased & make returns to next court.

July Session 1815

Henry Alexander Esqr. returned into court the audited account of the estate of Harvey Charles wherein was a balance due the said estate to amount one hundred and thirty five dollars.

Note from Harvey Charles to Bodwell & Hart on 13 May 1812 for $148.61.

Bond dated 10 Jan 1804 in the sum of one thousand pounds appointing John McClees administrator of the estate of Harvey Charles deceased, John Alexander son of Henry & Joseph McClees securities. {Flyleaf says Jan Term 1814.}

Summons dated 13 Apr 1814 and issued 23 Jun 1814 for Jno. McCleesey administrator of Harvey Charles to appear at next court to answer to a plea by of debt in the amount of $158.
