Know ye that I Joseph Cohoon of the county & state aforesaid being sound mind and in remembrance do constitute this my last will and testament first and foremost I recomend my soule to God I wish my executors to pay my just debt and then I give as followeth

Item first I give to my dear beloving wife Deborah Cahoon my plantation wheare on I live on during her widow hood or life all my sock of cattle except ten head to deale off to our children as shee may think proper and two head of horses and my stock of sheep and all of hoags and all of my working tules to her and her heirs for ever One juniper swamp on the Long Rich to be sold and also I give all my household furniture to my wife during her wider hood or natural life to be equaly divided between my sons and daughters after marage or death One enter between me & Gideon Cohoon up the north west fork to be sold by my executors Joseph White and my wife Deborah Cahoon as heare unto I sett my hand and seale this 6th day March 1817

April Session 1817

The last will & testament of Joseph Cohoon was exhibited into open court & proved by the oath of Turner Cohoon & filed.

Deborah Cohoon came into open court & quallified as executrix to the last will & testament of Joseph Cohoon in due form of law.

Ordered that Deborah Cohoon executrix on the estate of Joseph Cohoon deceased have leave to sell the estate of said deceased agreeable to law & make return to the next term.

July Session 1817

The inventory & account of sales of the estate of Joseph Cohoon was returned on oath by the executor of said deceased & filed.
