William Clough returned in court a platt of land laid off to the heirs of Joannah Batman widdow of Nathan Batman deceased filed.

Petition February Term 1809 by John Bateman Levi Bateman Joseph Bateman Daniel Bateman Benjamin Bateman Esther who has intermarried with Aron Spruill & Joanah Bateman who state that Joanah Carswell the mother of your petitioners in consequence of her intermarriage with Nathan Bateman deceased was seized & possessed of twenty two acres of land lying Hezekiah Spruills and others to an equal share of said land your petitioners are entitled. Petitioners pray an order to divide the land among the said heirs at law of Joanah Carswell since intermarried with Nathan Bateman. {The overleaf says this was a copy and it appears some wording was left out.}

Court order 28 Jun 1809 issued 14 Jul 1809 for the division of twenty two acres of land between the lawful heirs of Joanah Batman wife of Nathan Batman deceased as stated in their petition.

Court order 28 Sep 1809 issued 8 Nov 1809 for the division of twenty two acres of land between the lawful heirs of Joanah Batman wife of Nathan Batman deceased as stated in their petition.

Laying off of twenty two acres belonging to the heirs of Joanah Batman deceased on 10 Oct 1810. Tract joins Joseph Ansley Junior. Includes a note to Mr. James Ambrose guardian of the heirs of Solomon Ansley to attend this division of the tract joining Hezekiah Spruill if he desires.

Execution dated 27 Dec 1810 and issued 24 Jan 1811 against the goods and chattels lands and tenements of John Batman Levi Batman Joseph Batman Daniel Batman Benjamin Batman Esther Spruill & Joanah Batman heirs of Joanah Batman deceased for the costs of laying off the land of Joanah Batman deceased amounting to 13 pounds, 4 shillings & 3 pence.
