April Session 1799

Ordered that Henry Bateman orphan of John Bateman deceased be bound to Peter Marriner till he arrives to lawful age to learn the art & mistery of a house carpenter and said master is to learn the said apprentis to read & wright & sypher as far as the rule of three.

July Session 1799

Ordered that the order of the last court binding Henry Bateman an orphan boy to Peter Marriner be reversed and set aside.

Ordered that John Armstrong be appointed guardian to Henry Bateman orphan of John Bateman deceased and give bond and security in 500 pounds Hezekiah Dukes and Soloman Hassell securities.

July Session 1800

Ordered that Asa Phelps be appointed guardian to Henry Bateman orphan of John Bateman deceased and hath given bond for 500 pounds George Wynne and Levi Bateman securitys and be it further ordered that the said guardian have leave to {unreadable} all the property of the former guardian and all other persons wherein any can be found.

January Session 1801

Henry Norman Esquire returns in open court the account of the property of Henry Bateman as delivered to Capt. Asa Phelps his guardian ordered filed.

January Session 1805

Ordered that John Marriner Peter Marriner Benjamin Spruill Esquire John Bateman and George Wynn be appointed to divide the lands of John Bateman deceased between Henry Bateman and Rosy Spruill and make return to the next term.

July Session 1805

Joseph Ansley Surveyor returned in court the lat and division of land between Henry Bateman and Roseanah Spruill ordered registered - also the platt and division of the land among the heirs of Benjamin Alexander ordered registered.

Guardian bond dated 26 Jan 1795 in the amount of three hundred pounds appointing John Ansley guardian of Henry Bateman orphan of John Bateman deceased, Daniel Davenport & Joseph Ansley securities.

Guardian bond dated 26 Jul 1799 in an unspecified amount appointing John Armstrong guardian of Henry Bateman, Hezekiah Dukes & Soloman Hassell securities.

Guardian bond dated 28 Jul 1800 in the amount of five hundred pounds appointing Asa Phelps guardian of Henry Bateman orphan of John Bateman deceased, Levi Bateman & George Wynne securities.

Petition in October Term 1804 by Henry Bateman heir of John Bateman deceased for division of the lands of John Bateman between he and Rosy Spruill.
