In the name of God Amen: Know ye that I Jonathan Batteman Sener. Through the mercey of God tho week in body yet of sound and perfect memory do constitute this my last Will and Testament.

Imprimis - I most humbly Bequeath my soul to God my Maker beseechen his most gracious acceptance of it at ye General Resurrection of the dead thro the mercy and mediation of my most compasionate Redeemer Jesus Christ who gave himself to be and attonement for my sins and earnestly begg pardon of any body I have injured and I freely forgive all man kind ye have nay ways offended me and I profess myself to die in the Faith of the Communion of ye church of England. Next I give my body to the Earth from whence it was taken in full assurance mercey at the last day as for my Burial I desire it may be decently buried at ye discreetion of my wife or Ecxetr and as to such worly Estate as it has pleased God to indue me with I leave in manner and form following.

Item - I give and bequeath my beloved wife all my personal Estate of goods and chattells during her life.

Item - I give to my son James and Jonathan and Stephen and Nave four pewter dishes and catel that I formerly gave them with ye mones and item to them all my rite and titell to land and negroes that I have in Merland that can be found.

Item - And give all my sons and daughters that I had by my first wife one shelling to each child.

Item - I give all my personal Estate to four sons that ye bare after deth and furthermore I ordain and constitute and appoint Sarah Bateman my wife my sole Executor of all my personaly Estate of Goods and chattells and disannull and revoke all Wills Will by me made and do acknowledge this to be my last Will and Testamenet as witness my hand and seal this 26 day of February in the year of our Lord 1761.

Personally appeared Benjamin Staples a subscribing witness to the last will and testament of Jonathan Batman deceased & made oath that on the holy evangelest of allmighty God that he saw Jonathan Bateman publish, pronounce & declare the wighting to contain his last will and testement & that he was of desposing mind & memory.

Then appeared Sarah Bateman executerx and qualified according to law executorex.
