In the name of God amen: The twenty fifth day of September in the year of our Lord one housand seven hundred and fifty nine I William Bonner of the Province of North Carolina and of Tyrrell County being very weak of body but of perfict mind and memory thansk be given to Almighty God for the same and calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and Form following that is to say first and principally I recommend my soul into the hands of God that gave it hoping to receive the same again by the mighty power of God and as touching such worldly Extate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me I give bequeath and demise in the manner following ---

Imprimis - First of all I Will and desire that my funeral charges and just debts be first paid and satisfied ---

Item - I give and bequeath to my son James Bonner ten pounds proclamation money to be levied and paid out of my Estate I say to my son James Bonner his heirs and assigns ---

Item - I give unto my son William Bonner five shillings sterling to be levied and paid out of my Estate I say to my son William Bonner his heirs & assigns ---

Item - I give unto my daughter Elizabeth Joyce one certain iron pot containing near four gallons ---

Item - I give unto my grand son James Joyce son of my said daughter Elizabeth Joyce one two year old hefer my proper mark I may unto my grand son James Joyce her and her increase forever ---

Item - I Will and desire that my grandson William Powell son of Robert Powel and Mary Powell my daughter decd. Have a years schooling the payment to be made out of my Estate ---

Item - I give unto my grandson John Bonner son of my son James Bonner one youing cow with her first calf her and her increase forever I say unto my grandson John Bonner ---

Item - I give unto my daughter Ann Bonner one feather beed and one pair of sheets and one rugg also eight head of cattell young and old one gray horse named branded S. B. One iron four gallon pot one linen wheele also one side sadle a certain parcel of hoggs near fifteen or twenty head marked two crops and a hole in each ear and a nick under the right ear I say unto my daughter Ann Bonner her her heirs and assigns with the increase of the said hogs to her her heirs assigns forever ---

Item - I give unto my son Stapleton Bonner my now dwelling plantation and all the land thereto belonging and all other the lands which I hold I say unto my son Stapelton Bonner him his heirs and assigns forever ---

Item - I leave unto my wife C. Katherine Bonner the rest of my Estate of what kind so ever during her widdowhood and afterwards to be enjoyed and delivered to my son Stapelton Bonner him his heirs and assighs forever and I also Will and desire that my beloved wife Katherine Bonner shal enjoy my maid now dwelling plantatoin during her widdowhood with the use of my house orchard and all other the nessaries thereto belonging.

Also I also nomenate constitute and appoint my son Stapleton Bonner and my loving wife Katherine Bonner Executor and Executrix of my last Will and Testament revoaking disannulling and making void all other former Wills Legacies bequests by me in any ways of manner hertofore by me made ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have heruntoset my hand and seal the day and date first hereunt mentioned.

March Session 1762

Personally appeared Nathaniel Cooper and on his oath proved the last will and testament of William Bonner deceased & on his oath saith that he saw this Will Bonner sign seal publish pronounce and declare the writing to contain his last will and testament and he was of sound mind and memory & that he saw the other subscribing witnesses sign at the same time.

September Session 1762

Personally appeared Stapleton Bonner and exhibited an inventory of the estate of William Bonner deceased and proved the same on his oath.
