October Session 1791

Ordered that Mr. John Goelett have leave of administration on the estate of Thomas Buncombe and give bond 2,000 pounds William Barritz and Chrispoher Duckett securities & qualifyed.

Ordered that John Goelett administrator of Thomas Buncombe deceased have leave to sell the perishable estate of the said deceased & make return to the next court.

July Session 1792

Ordered that Sally Jones be allowed the sum of 10 pounds for maintenance & supporting a bastard child begot on her body by Thos. Buncombe deceased from the time of her delivery up to this present court and further allowance of 6 pounds a year to be paid yearly until said child arrives to the age of seven years and to be paid out of the estate of the said Thos. Buncombe deceased.

Edmund Blount Esqr. Sheriff exhibits into court an account of sales of the estate of Thomas Buncombe deceased to amount 350 pounds, 3 shillings & 3 pence & filed.

October Session 1793

John Goelet and Elizabeth his wife John Clarke & Hester his wife filed their petition praying for a division of the real estate of Thomas Buncombe deceased who died intestate agreeable to the directions of the Act of Assembly in such case made & provided whereupon it is ordered by the court that Robert Davison Esqr. Jeremiah Frasier Esqr. Thomas Stubbs Christopher Duckett & Thomas Lee be appointed commissioners for the purpose aforesaid & that they make return of their proceedings under their hands & seals to the next court pursuant to the prayer of the said petition.

January Session 1794

Jeremiah Frasier Esqr. returns in court the division of the lands of Thomas Buncombe between Mr. John Goelet and Mr. John Clark.

January Session 1800

John Goelet administrator of the estate of Thos. Buncombe deceased renders in his account current audited by Christr. Ducket James Jones Esqr. & Martin R. Byrd wherein they find a balance due the said administrator of 677 pounds, 5 shillings & 6 pence.

Bond dated 25 Oct 1791 in the amount of two thousand pounds appointing John Goelet administrator of the estate of Thomas Buncombe deceased, William Borritz & Christopher Duckett securities.

Bond dated 19 Nov 1791 in the amount of one hundred pounds in which Stevens Gray administrator of Thomas Buncombe binds himself to prosecute a suit againt Lee's executors.

Execution dated 27 Jul 1792 against the estate of Thomas Buncombe in the hands of John Goelet his administrator and John Swinson his security for 64 pounds, 11 shillings & 10 pence resulting from a suit brought by William & Stevens Gray executors of S. Lee for debt, damages & cost.

Summons dated 26 Oct 1792 and issued 31 Dec 1792 for William Ward to appear at the next court term to testify on behalf of Thomas Lee in a suit against John Goelet administrator of the estate of Thomas Buncombe deceased.

Summons dated 26 Oct 1792 and issued 31 Dec 1792 for Colo. Edmund Blount, Robert Cushing, Thomas Stubbs Junr. & Christopher Duckett to appear at the next court term to testify on behalf of Jesse Stubbs in a suit against John Goelet administrator of the estate of Thomas Buncombe deceased.

Execution dated 26 Oct 1792 against the estate of Thomas Buncombe in the hands of John Goelet his administrator and John Swinson his security for 64 pounds, 15 shillings & 7 pence resulting from a suit brought by William & Stevens Gray executors for debt, damages & cost.

Execution dated 26 Apr 1793 against the estate of Thomas Buncombe in the hands of John Goelet his administrator for 61 pounds, 4 shillings & 2 pence resulting from a suit brought by Jesse Stubbs for debt, damages & cost.

Execution dated 25 Jul 1793 against the estate of Thomas Buncombe in the hands of John Goelet his administrator for 61 pounds, 7 shillings & 11 pence resulting from a suit brought by Jesse Stubbs for debt, damages & cost.

Execution dated 28 Jan 1794 against the estate of Thomas Buncombe in the hands of John Goelet his administrator for 3 pounds, 18 shillings & 7 pence resulting from a suit brought by Martin R. Byrd for debt, damages & cost. This was the amount of the costs.
