In the name of God amen: I John Blount of Tyrrel County Planter being sick and weak of body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to Almighty God and calling to mind the uncertainty of death desire to make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following. First and principally I recommend my sould into the hands God that gave it nothing doubting but at the General Resurrection to receive the same again and hopeing through the merrits death and pasion of my blessed Saviour Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon of all my sins and as for my body I leave to the Earth to be buried at the duretion of my Executors hereafter mentioned and as for my worley Estate which it hath pleased God to bestow on me in this life I leave and dispose of it in manner and form following.

Imprimis - My Will and desire is that my just debts and funeral expences be all satisfied and paid ---

Item - I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Blount one shilling sterling as a bar against the other part of my Estate ---

Item - I give and bequeath to my son John Blount one shilling sterling as a bar against the other part of my Estate.

Item - I give and bequeath to my son Gresham Blount one shilling sterling as a bar against any other part of my Estate.

Item - I give and bequeath to my daughter Margret Stealy one shilling sterling as a bar against any other part of my Estate.

Item - I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Swain one shilling sterling as a bar against any other part of my Estate.

Item - I give and bequeath to my two youngest daughters Debroah Gray and Resina Blount all my household goods whatsoever my stocks of cattle and hogs and everthing else whatever of my Estate real and personal to them and their heirs forevers

Lastly - I constitute nomenate and appoint my trusty friend Henry Gray and Resina Blount my Executor and Executrix of this my last Will and Testament revoking all other Wills by me heretofore made allowing this only to be my last Will and Testament In testimony wereof I have hereunto set my hand and fixt my seal this 11 day of January 1764.

March Session 1766

Personally appeared Jereboam Thomas and on his oath proved the last will and testament of John Blount deceased & further saith that he was of sound mind & memory and at the same time Francis Eggeton sign as a witness.

Personally appeared Henry Gray and Rasina Gray formerly Rasina Blount executor & executrix mentioned in the last will and testament of John Blount deceased and qualified accordingly by taking the oath appointed by law.

June Session 1766

On motion of Henry Gray executor of John Blount deceased for sales of the perishable estate of the sd. John Blount & it is by the court ordred that he sell the perishable estate of the sd. John Blount & make return to our next court.
