Armistead, William Sr., 1808


Promissory note to Wm. Armistead Senior for delivery on order twenty seven thousand two hundred god merchantable eighteen inch shingles to be delivered to Jno. Wynne's Landing or on board the vessell for value received. Dated 5 May 1789 and signed by Thomas Spruill, John Dillin, Miles Hatfield & John Norman.

Summons dated the sixth Monday after the fourth Monday in September 1808 for Nathan Spruill executor of Thomas Spruill deceased to appear at the Superior Court of Law on the sixth Monday after the fourth Monday in March next and answer to John Armstead executor of William Armstead Senr. to a plea of covenant broken by the defendant's testator to the plaintiff's damage one hundred pounds.

Summons dated 8 May 1809 for William Slade to appear at the Superior Court of Law on the sixth Monday after the fourth Monday in September next to testify on behalf of John Armistead executor of William Armistead Senr. deceased in a case wherein John Armistead executor of William Armistead Senr. deceased is plaintiff and Nathan Spruill executor of Thomas Spruill deceased is defendant.

Execution dated the sixth Monday after the fourth Monday in September 1809 against the goods & chattels, lands & tenements of Nathan Spruill executor of Thomas Spruill deceased for nine pounds, seventeen shillings which John Armistead executor of William Armistead deceased recovered against him in the Superior Court of Law, plus a further three pounds, nineteen shillings and three pence for costs.
