April Session 1819

Ordered that Selby Patrick Henry Alexander Ava Smith John Midyett & John Alexander Capn. or any three of them be appointed to audite & settle the accounts between Joseph McCleese administrator of Gilbert Alexander deceased & Richd. Davis guardian to the heirs of Wm. Alexander deceased & make report to next term.

Administration on the estate of Gilbert Alexander was committed to Joseph McCleese who entered into bond with approved security & qualified agreeable to law ordered that letters of administration issue thereon & that he proceed to sell the perishable estate of said deceased & account for the same as the law directs.

July Session 1819

Ordered that Selby Patrick Henry Alexander John Midyett Ava Smith & John Alexander Capn. or any three of them audite & settle the accounts of Gilbert Alexander deceased between Joseph McCleese administrator of said deceased & Richd. Davis former guardian & make report to the next term.

An inventory of the estate of Gilbert Alexander deceased was returned proved & filed the administrator no property to be found.

April Session 1820

Account of sales of the hire of negroes and rent of lands belonging to the estate of Gilbert Alexander deceased was returned to court proved & filed.

July Session 1820

Account sales of the negroes belonging to the estate of Gilbert Alexander was returned in open court proved & filed - - amount $851.25.

Bond dated 12 Apr 1819 in the amount of two thousand dollars appointing Joseph McClees administrator of the estate of Gilbert Alexander deceased, John Roughton & Henry Alexander securities.

Several suits by the administrator of Gilbert Alexander to recover debts owed the estate and related bonds and executions.
