January Session 1819

Administration on the estate of Isaac Alexander was committed to Nancy Alexander widdow of Isaac Alexander deceased who entered into bond in the sum of four thousand pounds Joseph McCleese & John Alexander securities ordered that letters of administration issue thereon & that she proceed to sell the perishable estate of said deceased & account for the same as the law directs.

Ordered that Selby Patrick Esqr. John Alexander Capn. Frederick Alexander & Stephen Swain lay off to Nancy Alexander widdow of Isaac Alexander one years provisions out of the estate of said deceased agreeable to act of assembly & make report to next term.

April Session 1819

Inventory & account sales of the estate of Isaac Alexander deceased was returned in open court by the administrator & filed.

The account sales of the hire of negroes belonging estate of Isaac Alexander for 1819 was returned in open court & filed.

The years allowance of Nancy Alexander returned by Henry Alexander & filed.

Ann Alexander was appointed guardian to Frederick Alexander Warren Alexander & Elizabeth Alexander & entered into bonds one thousand pounds each Joseph McCleese & Henry Alexander security.

January Session 1820

The guardian account of Nancy Alexander guardian to the heirs of Isaac Alexander was returned on oath in open court for the year 1820 with a balance due said guardian $46.47 1/2 cents & filed.

January Session 1821

Account sales of the hire of negroes & rent of lands belonging to the estate of Isaac Alexander deceased for the year 1821 was returned in open court & filed.

April Session 1822

The following guardians appeared in open court & renewed their guardian bonds agreeable to the act of assembly in that case made & provided as follows viz. - -
Ann Alexander guardian to Reddin Alexander
Ann Alexander guardian to Warren Alexander
Ann Alexander guardian to Elizabeth Alexander

Ann Alexander guardian to the heirs of Isaac Alexander returned in open court on oath her guardian accounts for the year 1822 & filed.

April Session 1823

Guardian account for the hire of negroes & rent of land belonging to the heirs of Isaac Alexander was returned on oath & filed - for the year 1823.

April Session 1824

The guardian account of Nancy Alexander with the heirs of Isaac Alexander was submitted to court.

April Session 1825

Nancy Alexander appeared in open court & renewed her bond as guardian of Elizabeth, Reddick & Warren Alexander orphans of Isaac Alexander deceased & gave for security Matthew Brickhouse & Charles McClees.

April Session 1826

Nancy Alexander guardian to the heirs of Isaac Alexander deceased returned into open court her guardian accounts up to this time.

April Session 1828

Nancy Alexander returned account of the hire of the negroes & rent of land of the estate of Isaac Alexander for the year 1828.

Nancy Alexander came into open court and renewed her guardian bond to the heirs of Isaac Alexander.

January Session 1829

Ordered that Jos. Halsey, Eph. Mann & Enoch Hassel be appointed to audite the estate of Isaac Alexander with the administratrix and report to next term.

Ordered that Henry Norman be appointed guardian to Redin & Warren Alexander orphans of Isaac Alexander, who entered into bond with Enock Hasell & Chas. McClees.

An account of the hire of negroes & rent of the land of Isaac Alexander heirs was returned in open court for the year 1829.

April Session 1829

The auditors of the estate of Isaac Alexander deceased with Nancy Alexander the administratrix & her as guardian was returned to court with a balance due the administratrix & guardian of $35.45.

January Session 1830

Henry Norman returned the division of the negroes of Isaac Alexander in open court & filed.

Henry Norman returned an inventory of the estate of Betty Alexander deceased also the hire of negroes belonging to Readin & Warren Alexander & filed.

Bond dated 28 January 1828 in the amount of two thousand dollars appointing Henry Norman guardian of Warren & Reddin Alexander minor orphans, Matthew Brickhouse & Chas. McClees securities.

Petition July term 1829 by Henry Norman & Nancy his wife and Henry Norman as administrator of Elizabeth Alexander deceased Reddick Alexander & Warren Alexander by their guardian Henry Norman showing that Isaac Alexander died intestate and your petitioner Nancy Alexander (now Norman) administered upon his estate, taking into her possession the personal effects and paying all authenticated demands upon the estate. Beside diverse personal effects of the estate which Henry Norman and his wife Nancy are now ready to account for with said heirs and distributees there are the following negroes viz. Pleasant, Elisha, Minerva, George, Zack, Tamer, Dave, Lavina & Eliza to be equally distributed among your petitioners. Petitioners pray for an order to make such distribution and that the accounts of your petitioner the administratrix may be refered to the clerk of court for adjustment.

Tyrrell County marriage bonds show the marriage of Isaac Alexander to Ann McCleas on 28 Oct 1806, Joseph McClees security; also the marriage of Reddick Alexander to Esther Combs on 12 May 1830, Henry Norman security; also the marriage of Warren Alexander to Fanny Ethridge on 27 Feb 1832, Richard D. Hassell security.
The slaves that belonged to the estate of this Isaac Alexander include all the slaves willed by Henry Alexander Senr. to his son Isaac Alexander in Henry's will in 1816, so they are obviously one and the same.
