December Session 1763

Micekel Alexander is appointed guardain of John Alexander son of Joshua Alexander deceased, and enters Thepalous Mann & Isaac Alexander securities in the sum of 50 pounds.

March Session 1764

On motion of John Pearson atty. in behalf of Saphire Alexander praying administration on the estate of her deceased husband Joshua Alexander and enter Joshua Alexander and Benjamin Hasell in the sum of 500 pounds proclamation money and at the same time qualified administratrix by taking the oath appointed by law & it is further ordered that Saphire Alexander sel so much of the perishable estate as shall be sufficient to pay the debts.

Personally appeared John Alexander orphan of Joshua Alexander and of his own free will chose Mickell Alexander guardan of his person & estate ordered that he give security in the sum of a hundred pounds which is acordingly by Theopleous Man and John Alexander son of Benjamin.

Saphire Alexander exhibited and proved an inventory of the estate of Joshua Alexander deceased and proved the same on her oath ordred filed.

September Session 1764

Saphire Alexander exhibited an account of Joshua Alexander deceased amounting to the sum of 7 pounds, 11 shillings & 2 pence & proved the same upon her oath ordered filed.

Saphire Alexander exhibited an account of sales of part of the estate of Joshua Alexander deceased & proved the same upon her oath & ordered filed.

March Session 1765

Mickell Alexander is appointed guardain to Joseph Alexander & Ann Alexander orphans of Joshua Alexander deceased & enters John Sedgex and John Combs securities in the sum of 100 pounds proc.

Read the petition of Joseph Alexander in behalf of Elizabeth Alexander orphan of Joshua Alexander &c ordered that Joseph Alexander be & he is appointed guardain to Elizabeth Alexander orphan of Joshua Alexander deceased he enters Mickell Alexander, Thos. Owens in the sum of two hundred pounds proca. money.

Ordered that Joseph Alexander, William Barns & Isaac Hassell or any two of them devide the estate of Joshua Alexander deceased & make return to the next court.

June Session 1765

Ordred that Thomas Lockhart, Isaac Hassell, & Benjamin Hassell or any two of them devide the estate of Joshua Alexander deceased and make due return of their proceeding thereon to next court.

July Session 1785

Ordered that subpena issue to Saphire Alexander administratrix of Joshua Alexander deceased and Joshua Alexander and Benjamin Hassell his securities and also to Joseph Alexander guardian and Mary Alexander executrix of Michael Alexander deceased guardian to appear at the next court to be held for the County of Tyrrell on the first Monday in October next then and there on their corporal oaths separately true answer to make to the petition of Willis Cooper and Elizabeth his wife and Joseph Pool and Ann his wife. {Willis Cooper married Elizbeth Alexander in 1781}
