Tyrrell County } In the name of God amen. I George H. Alexander of the State and County aforesaid Do make and publish this my last Will and testament in manner and form following.

Item 1st, I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Ann Alexander, all of my land I brought of Jno. McClesse heirs , I also give unto my wife Ann Negro man Beny, the same of Berry, I also give unto my wife three Negro boys by the name of Moses Dorry and Alfred, I also give unto my wife one Negro woman by the name of Mary, one heavy with child by the name of Seylox

Item 2nd, In case my wife has a child and it should live I give unto said child all the rest of my Negros (except Hannah & Jack and Phoebe the Negro by the name of Jacob, Charles, Dave, Treacy and her child Dora.

Item 3rd I give the land I brought of Lemuel Basnight to the said child in case it should live. Should it die I give the said land to be equally divided among my three brothers Jos., Thomas, and Abram Alexander & my nephew Benjamin Spruill.

Item 4th, I case the child should die I give the aforesaid Negro Jacob, Charles, Dave, Treacy & child Dora to be equally divided among my three brothers Jos. (Joseph), Thomas & Abram Alexander also my nephew Benjamin Spruill.

Item 4th, If my Chattel property be sufficient to pay my debts I give unto the said child if it should live Negro man Harcules & boy Jack. Should it die I give these said Negro Harcules and Jack to be equally divided among my brothers Jos., Thomas and Abner Alexander also my nephew Benjamin Spruill.

Item 5th, I leave my executor to sell all my Davis and Hassell land, also my chattel property Viz. House hold & kitchen furniture also my horses except one by named Tocoman a black Horse that Ann I brought in Raleigh. I give the horse unto my brother Jos. Alexander.

I also constitute and appoint my brother Jos. Alexander my executor to this my last will and Testament given under my hand and seal this 1st day February 1836.

Bond dated 26 Oct 1842 in the amount of five thousand dollars appointing Jos. Alexander guardian of Bushrod W. Alexander orphan of George H. Alexander with Abner Alexander, Charles McClees & John McClees securities.

Guardian account of Jos. Alexander from 1839 to 1850 for Bushrod W. Alexander. Examined by Saml. McClees. Balance due Bushrod W. Alexander from his late guardian, Jos. Alexander was $865.41.

Bond dated 27 Jan 1851 in the amount of eight thousand dollars appointing Benj. Spruill guardian of Bushrod Alexander orphan of Geo. Alexander with Jesse Sanderson & Benj. Basnight securities.

Bond dated 26 Jul 1852 in the amount of ten thousand dollars appointing Benjn. A. Spruill guardian of B. W. Alexander orphan of Geo. H. Alexander with Chas. McCleese & B. S. Basnight securities.

Account of sales of the estate of Bushrod Alexander for the year 1852 and guardian account for 1851 and part of 1852. Jacob sold to Benjamin A. Spruill for $251 and Tresey and children to James F. Davenport for $50.
