General John Butler certifies to the sheriff of Orange County that William Walker, a volunteer in a company of the North Carolina Brigade of Militia, has not yet received his bounty for service in South Carolina. In a document from February, Governor Caswell requires all civil and military officers to assist Peter Marlett in purchasing provisions for the militia. John Kennedy, jailer for the New Bern District, certifies the names of prisoners of war in his jail received from William Brown, a Justice for Beaufort County. John Everett, a Justice of the Peace of Martin County, attests to the deposition of Samuel Mitchell, master of the schooner Rainbow. Alexander Gilliland resigns as Justice of the Peace of Tryon (now Lincoln) County.
