D. L. English Personal Note

D. L. English returned on Thursday from Washington, D. C. where he went on professional business. He reports having had a pleasant and profitable trip. He found a pocketbook containing over a hundred dollars aboard the train before getting into Washington, and he also found the owner, a brother lawyer from Raleigh on his way to get married. It is needless to say that the owner was glad to recover his property and showed his appreciation by making Mr. English a present of a beautiful ring set with three genuine rubies.
