Rutherfordton, March 9-  MRS. JOE M. WALKER was buried Monday at the Union Methodist church, just 3 weeks after her husband to the hour. MR. WALKER died Feb. 12. The same minister, Rev. J.FRANK ARMSTRONG, conducted both funerals at the same church, Union Methodist, 4 miles southwest of here.

MRS. WALKER who was 63 years old, took sick Friday prior to her death with an ear infection. Prior to that she seemed as well as usual. She leaves one sister, MISS MARY WILLIE
LOLLAR and one brother, D.A. LOLLAR, both of the Union section.

One of the largest crowds in the history of Union Church attended the funeral and burial services, Monday afternoon. Mrs. Walker like her husband was a loyal member of the church, joining in early life. Mesdames JERRY LIPSCOMB of Spindale and IRA HODGE of  Rutherfordton sang two solos at the funeral with MISS GERTRUDE CLARKS, organist.
