è Reference copies is available at the Madison-Mayodan Library and the Bassett Historical Center, Bassett, VA (In neighboring Henry County).Footprints of the Past - Wigington/Wiggenton Families - The Wigington family lived in Henry County and Patrick County, Virginia. Some of the descendants of these Wigington families moved into Rockingham and Stokes Co., NC. Volume 3 covers Wigington, Wigginton (and other spellings); there are many other family names covering the female marriages...I just didn't follow their husband's families ancestors further than his parents in most cases. This book also contains information regarding the relationship of Pocahontas to Wigington; Letitia Wigington of England 1681; The Aquia Massacre (1697) of William Wigington's wife and 3 children; Sophia Wigington Hume 1702-1774; George Wigginton 1862 a member of Quantrill's Raiders; Edith Bolling, 2nd wife of Woodrow Wilson; and 2002 Aquia Quarry Presentation. A chapter is dedicated to Wigington Patriots, soldiers in the Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Indian War, Civil War (on both sides) and Draft Registration Cards for WWI.
