SUICIDE--We learn that Wm. Wallace McFarland, of Laurel Hill, Richmond County, NC, committed suicide
a few days ago, in his own house, shooting himself in the head with a rifle. He had been addicted
to occasional fits of intemperance, and in that state was furiously violent and uncontrollable,
though in his sober intervals polite and peaceable. He had been indulging for some days before
his death and in a fit of delitium tremers put an end to his existence.
