M. E. McKINNON CEMETERY
Surveyed by Woodford Sherrill and Jack Ingram

Go north of Ellerbe on Hwy 220 or 73 toward Windblow. It is located off SR#1462---Gallimore Road approximately 2.5 miles 
to the Herman Bennent farm house. The house is on the right of the road and just passed the house is a dirt road on the 
right. The cemetery is down this road through the field to the left in a grove of trees with a lot os overgrowth. It is

Chappell Mary E.	6/5/1876	11/21/24	Wife of W.T. Chappell
Mary Elizabeth 'Bettie' McKinnon Chappell  b. June 5, 1876  d. November 21, 1924  Age 48
d/o John H. McKinnon and Mary Elizabeth McKinnon  w/o William Thomas Chappell. Married June 3, 1900. 
Died of heart failure. ( Great Grandmother of Shirley Young Moore )

McKinnon Family tradition says there are 8 to 10 people buried in this cemetery. Graves below this line were not visible in October 2013.
