At his residence on Pee Dee, in Richmond County, on the 26th ult. John Wall, Sen. aged about 85 years. 
Mr. Wall was a native of Virginia, but for upwards of 59 years, a citizen of Richmond County, The manly 
and correct bearing of the deceased, through a long and exemplary life, was such as to transmit to a numerous 
and respectable offspring, an unsullied family reputation, and to exhibit for the emulation of his neighbors 
and acquaintances, an honorable model of character in the diversified relations of private life. Truly may it 
be said of him, he "acted well his part." - Fayetteville Observer
