Directions: Go to the Richmond County side of the Blewett Falls dam, then go downstream a few hundred yards to the boat landing and the grave is surrounded by a concrete wall
about 50-75 yards from the Pee Dee River. Hassie Jones, Cheraw, SC:
Amey Blewet and probably son, Thomas, graves are at the end of Blewett Falls Road just outside of Rockingham, NC. From 74, take Old Charlotte Highway to Blewett Falls Road about 4.5 miles to the end on the left of the culdesac before the dam is a boat launch and there you will find just their grave markers inside a little iron fence. This grave is located west of Rockingham on the banks of the Pee Dee River, 1/4 mile from Blewett Falls, off Highway #74. Several years ago the Amey Blewett slate gravestone was found in a field. Since then the gravestone has been picked up and moved to be with Thomas Blewett at his grave in site of the Blewett Falls Dam on the Pee Dee River.
