THE FAYETTEVILLE PRESBYTERY HOLDS SEMI-ANNUAL MEETING AT LAUREL HILL
From the Wilmington People's Press
The Fayetteville Presbytery held its semiannual meeting at Laurel Hill, Richmond County, on the 4th inst.
It was attended by thirteen Bishops, and a respectable number of Ruling Elders. From Reports made to the
Presbytery, the Churches under the care of this Presbytery, appear to be in a more flourishing state than they
have ever been since its organization; nearly three times the addition having been made to the communion the
past year, than were made in the same time before. Although it rained very hard on Sabbath, the house was filled
--much solemnity and seriousness was manifested during the whole services, which were continued from Thursday,
until the following Monday night. Source: Fayetteville Observer, April 23, 1833; Issue 829; Col C
