JOHN and CHARRITY McMasters

John and Charrity McMasters
John McMasters, who married Charrity Lane, was born August 2, 1789 and passed away Sept. 4, 1856. Charrity was born in either 1796 or 1797 and passed away in 1882. Charrity is the daughter of Isaac Lane and Mary Wood.

Children of John and Charrity McMasters ( In order of birth. ) Rev. Dr. Sterling Yancey McMasters married Catherine Montgomery about 1839. David M. McMasters married Ruth L. Matthews. Alfred was born in 1819 or 1820 and died in 1850 or 1851. Elizabeth's maiden name is Miller. Based on the census, she was born in 1824 or 1825.
Alfred is the son of John McMasters and Charrity Lane. Alfred is the father of John Wesley Clark McMasters, a Civil War veteran and Confederate prisoner at Elmyra, New York. William R. McMasters, born Dec. 14, 1820, passed away Dec. 11, 1903. First, he wed Polly Fruit. Then he married Margaret E. (Wiley?) in 1873.
Isaac McMasters (born circa 1822 ) married Irene Staley. Hugh Wilson McMasters ( born circa 1823 ) married Mary "Polly" L. Fox. Your record shows his name as "Nelson". Nancy C. McMasters married David Causey Dec. 3, 1849.
These two are still living at home with John and Charrity. Robert C. McMasters, born circa 1829, married Mary Chamness in 1852. James Pearson McMasters, born after 1838, died a Confederate soldier June 30, 1862 during the Civil War. Other Couple Named McMasters Aaron and Crease McMasters.
