A short Bill of Sale Equal good in Law.
This is to certify that I WILLIAM YOUNG of Lunenburg County of Virginia for & in consideration of Ninety pounds of Virginia Money which I hereby acknowledge to have received I have sole & delivered unto ANDERSON HARALSON & his Heirs &c for ever a Negro boy by the Name of JERRY I likewise for myself my Heirs &c do warrant and defend the said Negro Boy JERRY from any claim or claims from any Person or Persons whatever. In witness of which I have set my hand & seal this Sixth day of Sept'r 1803.

Know all men by these presents that I ARCHIBALD LIPSCOMB of Person County and State of North Carolina in & for consideration of the sum of one Hundred & Twenty three pounds Virginia currency to me in hand paid and satisfyd before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof hereby acknowledged have this day bargained sold and Delivered unto JAMES BRADSHER of the said County and State a Negro woman named AGGY and child named LEWCREASY To have and to hold the said bargained Negroes with their further increase unto the said JAMES BRADSHER his heirs and assigns forever and the said ARCHIBALD LIPSCOMB for himself his heir Exec'r and admn'r doth hereby covenant to and with the said JA'S BRADSHER his heirs and assigns that he the said ARCHIBALD LIPSCOMB and his heirs will well & truly warrant and defend the title of the aforesaid Negroes to him the said JA'S BRADSHER his heirs & assigns against the claim or all & every person or persons whatsoever in Witness whereof I have hereunto affixed my hand & seal this Thirty first day of December Anno Dom, One Thousand Eighteen hundred and three.

Know all men by these presents that I ANSELM BASS of Person County for & in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars to me in hand paid by WILLIAM BAIRD the receipt whereof I hereby acknowledge have bargained sold & delivered & hereby Bargain sell & deliver to the said WILLIAM BAIRD my Negro TINY with her Two children & future increase to have & to hold the said Negroe her children and increase as his own property in times coming & I oblige myself my heirs Executors & Administrators to warrant the property of the above Negroes to the said W'M BAIRD against myself & against the claims of all mortals whatever.
Witness my hand & seal this seventeenth day of February Eighteen hundred & four.

Slave Bill of Sale
To all people unto whom these presents shall come I NICHOLAS BURCH of Caswell County and State of North Carolina send greeting, Know ye that I the said NICOLAS BURCH for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which I have and bear unto my beloved Nephew JOHN FARQUAHAR and NANCY FARQUHAR his wife of Person County and State aforesaid and for divers other good causes and considerations me hereunto moving have given and granted and by these presents do give and grant unto the sd JOHN FARQUHAR and NANCY FARQUHAR one Negro girl named GINNEY to have hold and enjoy all and singular the sd Negro girl and personal Estate aforesaid unto the said JOHN FARQUHAR and NANCY FARQUAHAR his executors administrators and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of him the said JOHN FARQUHAR & NANCY FARQUHAR his Executors administrators and assigns forever. And I the said NICOLAS BURCH and singular the aforesaid Negro to the said JOHN FARQUAHAR and NANCY FARQUHAR his Executors administrators and assigns against all persons whatsoever shall and with warrant & forever defend by these presents in witnss whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 24th day of March 1817.

To all people to whome these presents shall come I NANCY GRAY of the County of Person and State of North Carolina send greeting. Know ye that I the said NANCY GRAY for & in consideration of the natural love and affection which I have & bare unto my beloved Daughter ELIZABETH GRAY & for divers other good causes & considerations me hereunto moving have lent & granted by these presents do Lend and grant unto the said ELIZABETH GRAY my Daughter the use of my Negro Girl MARY, my Negro Girl LUCY, and my Feather bed &c that I bought at the sale of my fathers Estate to have hold & enjoy all & singular the aforesaid Negroes to the use of the said ELIZABETH GRAY untill she may have heirs procreated by her own body then to her & her heirs forever and I the said NANCY GRAY do then for myself & my Heirs do give grant and alienate all & singular the aforesaid Negroes to the aforesaid ELIZABETH GRAY her heirs & assigns against all other persons whatsoever shall & will warrant & forever defend by these presents in witness whereof. I do hereby set my hand & seal this tenth day of January Eighteen Hundred & four.

Know men by these presents that I THOMAS WILLIAMS of the County of Orange State of North Carolina hath this day bargained & sold and do by these bargain & sell unto THOMAS SNEED of the County of Person & State aforesaid a certain yellow Man slave known by the name of JIM CRACK for & in consideration f the sum fo five hundred and fifty dollars to me in hand paid by the said THOMAS before the sealing & delivery of these presents & for the right title & claim of myself my heirs or assigns or any person or persons whatsoever I will warrent and forever defend. Witness my hand & seal this 28th day of January 1817.
