Roger L. Spencer House

This two-story, frame, L-plan house with a lattice window in the front pedimented gable was constructed about 1910 for Roger L. Spencer (1882-1984), son of Z. T. Spencer and Cordelia Rollison, and his wife, Margaret “Maggie” Spain Spencer (1887-1980), daughter of Frederick Augustus Spain and Sarah Hopkins Spain. This house still stands today and is located on Hwy 304 in Hobucken, on the north east side of the intersection of Hwy 304 and Lover’s Lane, the second house on the left between the Fred Spain and Charlie R. Spain houses.  Pictures taken in 1989.
