On motion it is ordered by the Court that Henry A. FOOTE J.P. and Asa
GEORGE, W.m B. WILLIAMS and Gideon W NICHOLSON, freeholders, be
appointed Commissioners to view the personal estate of Mich.l
RIGGAN dec.d, and to allot and set apart to his widow the said
Maria A. RIGGAN, so much of the Crop, Stock & provisions belonging
thereto as may be adequate to the support of herself and family for one
year, and if there shall not be a sufficiency on hand to afford
such allowance, then to assess the deficiency in money, and report
their proceedings under their hands and seals to the next Term of this
Court -

Pursuant to an Order of Court made February Term 1853. to us directed
We the undersigned Commissioners after being duly sworn, Viewed the
Estate of Michael RIGGIN dec.ed, and have alloted and set apart to
his widow Mariah A. RIGGIN for the support of herself & family the
following Articles, for one year, Viz, one thousand pounds
Bacon one hundred & twenty five pounds of Lard twenty
seven & half Barrels of Corn, four Bl.s flour, the kitch gar. 70 lbs
Coffe 25 lbs Sole leather one Kip skin. one
russet, side, 1 lb shoe thread 1 lb peper, 1 lb spice 1 lb
Ginger 5 lb Coperas, one Bay horse, one horse waggon, & geer
one plough & geer, 2 Cows & Calves, 5 Ewes & Lambs One sow &
pigs, 6 Shoats 2500 lb fodder, 4 lb wool 30 lbs Cotten
3 Loads of shucks 3 Bee hives 10 gallons of Vinegar 10
gallons of molasses one Jar preserves one Jar of pickles, all the
Soap & soap grease. all the poultry. one Bed & furniture one
wheel & Cards. 6 Chairs. 20 lb tallow one Bushel of potatoes,
& one pair of Andirons.
We further state and make that the allowance of one
hundred & sixty five dollars in money to supply the deficiency
The defeciency in the above allowance is 188 lbs Bacon 21 1/2 Bl.
Corn 4 Bls flour, one sack of salt 150 lb sugar
70 lb offee, 25 sole Leather, 1 kip skin one side of russet
Leather, 1 lb shoe thred, 1 lb peper 1 lb spice, 1 lb Ginger
5 lb Coperas 1400 lbs of fodder. 30 lbs Cotton. 3 Loads
Shucks 10 gallons of Vinegar 10 gallons of Molasses & 20 lbs
Tallow.

Know all men by these presents, That we Aaron A HUDGINS Gideon W
NICHOLSON & Henry A FOOTE are held and firmly bound unto the state
of North Carolina, in the sum of Fifteen Hundred dollars, to
be paid to the said State. To the which payment, well and truly
made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators,
jointly and severally, firmly by these presents.
Sealed with our seals, and dated this 1st day of March A.D. 1853
The condition of the above Obligation is such, That if he above bounden
Aaron A HUDGINS administrator of all and singular, the Goods and
Chattels, Rights and Credits of the said deceased, which have or
shall come to the hands, knowledge or possession of the said A A
HUDGINS or into the hands or possession of any persons or persons
for him, and the same so made do exhibit or cause to be exhibited
to our said county court of Warren within ninety days after the
date of these presents, and the same goods, chattels and credits,
and all other goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased at
the time of his death, or which at any time hereafter shall come into
the hands or possession of the said A A HUDGINS or into the hands
or possession of any person or persons for him do well and truly
administer according to law:
And further do make or cause to be made, a true and
just account of his said administration, within the time required by act
of Assembly, after the date of these presents, and all the rest
and residue of the said Goods, Chattels and Credits, which shall
be found remaining in the hands of, or due from the said Administrator,
shall deliver and pay unto such person or persons respectively, as
the same shall become due, pursuant to the true intent and meaning
of the Act of Assembly in that case made and provided. And if it
shall appear that any Will or Testament was made by the deceased,
and the Executor or Executors therein named, do exhibit the same in
court, making a request to have it allowed and approved of accordingly,
if the said Aaron A HUDGINS above bounden, being thereunto required, do
render and deliver said Letters of Administration (approbation of
such Testament being first had and made in said court,) then this
obligation to be void; other wise to remain in full force and
virtue.

The powers vested in Charles MYRICK and John MILAM is hereby made void
