Hi Ginger, First, I want to say thank you to you and all your gang at the Warren County website. You do a fantastic job. It has been a lot of help to me, and I just simply enjoy it so much. So many names I have heard my mother and her sisters talk about during my younger years. One aunt was Tempie Tucker, postmistress at Warren Plains for a number of years, and Mary Tucker Rodwell, wife of Arthur Rodwell, who was the Seaboard Airline Railroad agent for many years also at Warren Plains. Keep up the good work!
I have copies of wills from a great-great grandfather Ransom Walker, and a great-great-great grandfather Daniel Newman. I have a partial copy of a payroll list from the Revolutionary War from "the United States of America to the State of North Carolina" and is for cash paid to Jacob Blunt, Paymaster. I have the first page and the page on which my ancestor, Thomas Paschall, is listed. Paschall was from Bute County, but I do not see any counties named in this list. The Walker will and the Revolutionary War accts. I have recently received from NC State Archives.
Are you interested in having copies of these items? I can type and Email copies to you, but there are words in all that I cannot be sure of. I would like for someone who has had more experience with old copies to check behind me. You will have to instruct me on how to go about this. There may be other items you may be interested in, but this is as far as I am prepared to go right now.
My name is Ray (Poland) Bradshaw, I live in Franklin, VA. I am female--there is confusion because of my name sometimes.

Name: Annette Weldon Goyette <sandp@gloryroad.net>
Date: 2003-01-27
Name: Weldon
Comments:
Searching for any information on the Weldon's of Warren County from the period 1775 to 1850. Find record of
William Weldon with wife "Winnie" and would like to know ancestry and decendants. He ran a tavern in the early
1800's from info we find. Possibly he was William
Weldon, Sr. with son William Weldon, Jr. Do not know
if this connects with Sales Weldon for sure.
Ancestry.com indicates a William Weldon of Warren
County, possibly brother to Mary Weldon who
married Judge Hall of Warrenton about that time.
Would appreciate any information available.

Seeking information on Benjamin O. Wade of Warren Co. He was Captain of Company F, 12th North Carolina Troops (2nd NC Vols.). Prior to the Civil War he was a druggist and he enlisted at age 22 in 1861. He was later Colonel of this regiment. I wondering if anyone has a burial location for this man or anything else in relation to his life. I've seen a source that lists him as being buried in a Cook Family Cemetery in Warrenton. Thanks in advance for your help.

Comments: In Nov. 1821 Jane Smith received a gold medal for scholarship from The Warrenton Female Academy. Jane was the only child of William Rand Smith & Martha Norsworthy of Isle of Wight Co., VA.and was born in 1805. Jane's Norsworthy grandparents were George (one of many by that name) and Christian. Mrs. Kerr took me to the house which had housed the school, and which later became a school for black children. I have always wondered why Jane was in school in Warren County, but is it possible that the George who died in Warren County was her grandfather? Does anyone know the names of the children of the George Norsworthy who was in Warren County?
