Marriage Bond for John Pardue and Elby Duty - 1813

            Warren County,
 
     Know all men by these presents, That we, John Pardue and William Smith
are held and firmly bound unto William Hawkins Eóquire, Governor, &c. or his
Successors in Office, in the full óum of Five Hundred Pounds, current Money, to be paid
to the óaid Governor, his Successors or A
óóigns, for the which Payment well and truly
to be made and done, we bind ouróelves, our Heirs, Executors and Adminiótrators,
jointly and óeverally by theóe preóents, óealed with our Seals, and dated this 26th day
of August Anno Domini 1813

     the Condition of the above Obligation is óuch, that whereas the above bounden
John Pardue
hath made application for a License of Marriage to be celebrated between
him and Elby Duty of the County aforeóaid:  Now, in Caóe it óhall not appear
hereafter, that there is any lawful Cauóe or Impediment to obótruct the óaid Marriage,
then the above obligation to be void; otherwióe to remain in full Force and Virtue.
