Marriage Bond for John Pardue and Elby Duty - 1813

            Warren County,
 
     Know all men by these presents, That we, John Pardue and William Smith
are held and firmly bound unto William Hawkins Equire, Governor, &c. or his
Successors in Office, in the full um of Five Hundred Pounds, current Money, to be paid
to the aid Governor, his Successors or A
igns, for the which Payment well and truly
to be made and done, we bind ourelves, our Heirs, Executors and Adminitrators,
jointly and everally by thee preents, ealed with our Seals, and dated this 26th day
of August Anno Domini 1813

     the Condition of the above Obligation is uch, that whereas the above bounden
John Pardue
hath made application for a License of Marriage to be celebrated between
him and Elby Duty of the County aforeaid:  Now, in Cae it hall not appear
hereafter, that there is any lawful Caue or Impediment to obtruct the aid Marriage,
then the above obligation to be void; otherwie to remain in full Force and Virtue.
