This Indenture made this 18th day of January 1834 between Priscilla
Harper of the County of Gibson and state of Tennessee of the one
part and John T. Kearny of the County of Warren and state of North
Carolina of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Priscilla
Harper for and in consideration of the sum of thirty dollars paid to
her in hand the receipt whereof she does hereby acknowledge herself
thereby fully satisfied and hath given, granted, bargained, sold
conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth fully and
absolutely give, grant, bargain and sell unto him the said Kearny
his heirs and assigns forever a parcel of land bounded as follows,
Viz. beginning at a red oak in the road and thence along the road to
a white oak on the east side of the road thence a Northwardly course
to the Deep Branch thence down in said branch to a white oak and
black gum and from thence to the beginning corner containing 10
(ten) acres be the same more or less. To have and to hold unto him
the said Kearny his heirs and assigns forever and I the said
Priscilla Harper her heirs and assigns warrant and forever defend
the right and title of the aforesaid parcel of land to him the said
John T. Kearny free from the claim of any person or persons
whatsoever. In witness whereof the said Priscilla Harper has
hereunto set her hand and seal the day and date above written.

The motion of this deed by Priscilla Harper was proved in open court
by the oath of Edward Williams one of the subscribing witnesses
thereto and on motion ordered to be registered.
