March 17, 1864 - Organized at New Berne and Morehead City, NC, from 1st North Carolina Colored Heavy Artillery.

To January, 1865 - Attached to Defences of New Berne, NC, Dept. of Virginia and North Carolina.

To December, 1865 - Sub-District of New Berne, Dept. of North Carolina, and Sub-District of Beaufort, NC, Dept. of North Carolina.

SERVICE: [ 1st NCCHA ]

March, 1864 - March, 1865 - Garrison Duty at New Berne, NC, and other points in District and Dept. of North Carolina.

March 17, 1865 - Designation of Regiment changed to 14th U.S. Colored Heavy Artillery.

To December, 1865. Garrison duty at New Berne and other points in the Dept. of North Carolina.

December 11, 1865 - Mustered Out.
