RESEARCH NOTES:

Hello, my father and I are doing research into our ancestors in cumberland county north carolina , and he tells me that our family owned "salter sykes plantation". I do not see that in your web site. What do you need to prove this true? Or do you already know about it?? It was near salter lake. Thank you, Betty Sykes Heller

That would be fine; and I would like to pass on any further info once my father (who still lives there in Fayetteville NC) gives me a more direct link and documentation; which I am sure he has. I have personally seen the land it sat on and also our families cemetary is located on the land. I beleive this went into the 17oo's. my father was to inherit about 200 acres; but he was in the war and somehow he missed out. Let me know what you think. Thank you for your time, Betty Sykes Heller
