I am looking for thildren of Rev. Samuel Whatley (b. 1762) and Catherine Anglin (1762-1857 in Pikes Co., GA). I am also looking for any further information on Samuel and Catherine: exact dates of birth, death, siblings and their marriages, etc. I think they were married in 1783. I believe that Samuel's parents were a William Whatley (there is notation of the year 1776 by his name--his year of death?) and a Mary Edwards, about whom I know nothing. I believe Catherine's parents were James Anglin from Ireland, who died in Wilkes Co. in 1778, and Mary Lindsey. If that is correct, they would have married in Ireland 5-5-1743. I do not know the sources of this information. There is a notation: Last child born and orphaned by either Catherine or Mary Lindsey on this chart. I have no idea what that means, or to whom it refers. Any help you can give me on this line of the family would be most appreciated. Thank you so very much. Stefani Evans SEvans@aol.com
