Sally Ann bore 3 children (roger jr, malcolm & cora) . Malcolm and Cora were twins and Cora died when she was 5 years old from pneumonia. Roger Jr married Ida Louise Barnett they had six children together. They are Rogera, Irene, Sally Ann, Dorothy, Roger E. III, and Veronica. Malcolm never married or had any children. We have a very huge clan of Haskins in Boston, unfortunately we do not know our real souther family roots. Any information on birth, marriage, and any other useful records would be greatly a

Respond to:Daniel Mahar
Posted On:Thursday, March 12, 1998 at 14:02

I have been researhcing the above listed Granville families for many years and would like to correspond with anyone who may have information on these families as well as people enslaved by these families. GOOCH: I descend from Daniel & Nancey (Sneed) Gooch of the Tally Ho/Berea area. They had a large family that intermarried with the Bennett, Clement, Harris, Howard, and Parker families. I am also interested in the history of people enslaved by these families including Calvin Gooch and his wife Mary Latta. SNEED: I descend from Capt. Samuel & Jane (Dudle) Sneed of Granville Co. & Mt. Tirzah, Person Co., NC. I have a great deal of information on this line along with some information on collateral lines: Gooch, Williams, Ragland, Parker, Redd, and Mitchell. I am also interested in finding out more about those people who were enslaved by this family. JONES: I descend from William & Elizabeth (Twitty) Jones through their son Brereton Jones. I have information on collaterial lines of Lawrence, O'Briant, and Patterson (James). I am especially interested in the children of Brereton Jones whose son William "Buck" Jones lived along Hatcher's Run south of Oxford. A Memucan "Muke" Hunt Jones and his wife Missouri Peed lived in this area in the 1890s and I would be very interested in findind descedants of this line and of the Claytons who also married into this family. RAGLAND: I am descended from Evan & Amey (Merritt) Ragland through their son Reuben Ragland. I would very interested in exchanging information on these lines, especially family oral history and history on people enslaved by the Ragland family. OBRIANT: I am descended from Patrick O'Briant through his daugther Mary Perry O'Briant Ragalnd. I am interested in establishing Patrick's origins before coming to Granville and also substanciating his relationship to Dennis O'Briant who some think is his son and some think is a brother. Patrick also had several sons which had issue that married into the following families: Bressie (Bracey), Royster, Blacknall, Landis families.
