County Henderson District School Census
Transcribed

The
following information is taken from a Henderson District school census in
the NC Archives in Raleigh taken on the 28th, 29th
and 30th days of June 1842.
Unlike many other censuses in the collection, this one is in
exquisite penmanship and form. It
is divided into five columns: total number of children in family, names of
parent or guardians, names of male children, names of
female children and ages. For
ease of transcription, I have collapsed the format into that shown below.
