A paper writing purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of ABNER RICHARDSON deceased, is exhibited before me, the undersigned, Clerk of the Superior Court for the said County, by JANE RICHARDSON, the executrix therein mentioned, and the due execution thereof by the said ABNER RICHARDSON is proved by the oath and examination of W. C. FERRELL & A. B. WILLIAMS the subscribing witnesses thereto who, being duly sworn, doth depose and say, and each for himself deposeth and saith that he is a subscribing witness to the paper writing now shown purporting to be the last will and testament of ABNER RICHARDSON that the said ABNER RICHARDSON in the presence of this deponent, subscribed his name at the end of said paper writing, now shown as aforesaid, and which bears date of the 21st day of June 1877.

And the deponent further saith, that the said ABNER RICHARDSON the testator aforesaid, did, at the time of subscribing his name as aforesaid, declare the said paper-writing so subscribed by him and exhibited, to be Last Will and Testament. And this deponent did thereupon subscribe his name a the end of said Will as an attesting witness thereto, and at the request and in the presence of the said testator.  And this deponent further saith, that at the said time when the said testator subscribed his name at the end of said Will as an attesting witness thereto, and at the request and in the presence of the said testator.  And this deponent further saith, that at the said time when the said testator subscribed his name to the said last Will as aforesaid, and at the time of deponent’s subscribing his name as an attesting witness thereto, as aforesaid, the said ABNER RICHARDSON was of sound mind and memory, of full age to execute a will, and was not under any restraint to the knowledge, information or belief of this deponent: And further these deponents say not.

In the Name of God Amen I ABNER RICHARDSON of the County of Nash and State of North Carolina of sound mind and memory considering the uncertenty of life do ordain and make this my last will and testament this the twenty first day of January one thousand eight hundred and seventy seven.

Calling to mind that all men have once to die; I first give my soul to God that give it and my body to the dust to be burried in a Christain like manner and second I give and dispose in the following manner to wit-

After my burrial expenses and all just debts are paid and discharged –

I lend to my beloved wife JANE all my property both Real and personal to her – her lifetime or widowhood and after her death or widowhood to be equally divided between all my children.

I ordain  constitute and appoint my beloved wife JANE Executrix of this my last will and testament.

In tesamony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and date above written.
