Buried: Wells Cemetery [misnamed the E. B. Barnes Cemetery in Rackley & Tar River Connection Survey]  located in Oak Level Twp., west side of State Road 1703 [Barnes Hill Road], north of State Road 1717 [Sandy Cross Road], his NC Death Certificates states clearly that he is buried in the Wells Cemetery,  Other JONES FAMILY members buried in Wells Cemetery are BAUZY W. JONES [4 June 1918 – 12 March 1920]; CALVIN M. JONES [1888 – 1948];  J. E. JONES (JAMES “JIMMIE” JONES) [1 January 1900 – 14 July 1946];  MAGDALENE JONES [19 June 1923 – 1 May 1925] and MARTHA ANN JONES [1861 – 1940].  The NC Death Certificates for Jack Jones, his second wife Martha Ann Peebles, his son Calvin Martin Jones, Sr. and Calvin’s wife Lillie Belle Joyner correctly identify the Wells Cemetery as their place of burial.

[at the time of her death she was living with her son CALVIN MARTIN JONES, SR. and his wife LILLIE BELLE JOYNER.  Also, it is reported in the census and marriage records that between 1884 and 1900,  JACK and MARTHA ANN PEEBLES JONES had six children born and four survived (as of 1900).  Thus, they had four children born who did not survive until adulthood.]
