Aug 1823

 

John McLennon & William McLennon, dec'd, late of US Army and who is said to have died at Sschetts Harbor and William McLennon was never married and John is brother of William, so says Archibald McBryde.
Jan 1845

 

John G. Dennis 45 years, late resident of Bedfordshire, England. (US Citizenship). Embarked Liverpool about September 1836, to New York, landing November 1836.
Jan 1846 Angus McDougald and Margaret Cameron in court said Richard Stokes, late a pensioner of US, died October 26, 1845 leaving no widow and that Payton, William and John Stokes are the only children of said Richard Stokes and that all are of age.
Sept 1831 Evidence shown that Thomas Jenkins and Windy Jenkins are children and heirs at law of William Jenkins, dec'd, late a soldier in the US Army.
Fall 1841

 

Alexander Buie died in May 1818; Neil Buie died in fall 1823; Duncan Buie died in 1822. Malcolm Buie was administrator of all these estates. (Duncan and Alexander were cousins. Daniel was brother of Alexander.)

George S Cole guardian of Margaret, Noah, Neill McDonald. heirs of John McDonald Pvt in War of 1812, in Capt. Sullivan's Co., NC Militia. Sale of this land warrant #76832 granted to them by the Office of US Commissioners of Pensions on 25 Jan 1838, Ssigned by George Whiting, Com.
April 1853

 

Nancy McIntosh, widow of Murdoch McIntosh, filed in War Department to get pension for the service of her husband in Rev. War under the act of the 3rd of Feb 1853.

Miss Sarah Monk, Executor of James Monk, offered proof that James Monk, late of Moore County, was a pensioner of the US at the rate of $8 per month, or $96 per yar. He died June 29, 1854. He left no widow, but left children Alexander (or Archibald?), Flora Wadsworth, James D Monk and Sarah Monk.
July 1853 James G Tomlinson in court made oath that Mary Nall, widow of Nicholas, that Nicholas was a soldier in Revoluntionary War and (Mary) died Dec 25, 1845 and left no living children. She left grandchildren: James G Tomlinson, Aaron Tyson and William M Tyson. These are all of the children she did leave.

TIDBITS

McReynolds, Dabney, Williams. Lucy Dabney married Thomas McReynolds
1781 in Bedford County, Virginia. They later moved to Moore County,
North Carolina where Thomas died in 1800. Subsequently Lucy moved to Bedford County,
Tennesse, where in 1811 legal procedings naming her heir to land
left her by Benjamin Williams of Moore County, North Carolina were recorded.
