To the worshipful court of pleas and quarter sessions Oct. term 1854

We the wardens of the poor of said county have met at the poor house at Laurensville? for the purpose of letting out the paupers of of said county have proceded to examine the condition of the houses and find them out of repair so much so that we in our judgement consider it entirely unsafe for them to remain there any longer without the buildings are repaired or a new one built. And not knowing what course to pursue that would best tend to promote the interest of the county and the welfare of the poor under our protection, therefore we have ordered that the paupers be brought to Troy on Tuesday of this term of the court to be let out to individuals until some other arrangements is made and we now submit to your consideration our proceedings also the consideration of repairing of the old house or building a new one and making sale of the old one.

All of which we respectfully submit to the consideration of your worships.
