Goodson Feed Mill
Dixie Mill
Owned and Operated by Marshall "Striker" Goodson
until his death in 1998.
This was a popular "hang-out" for a lot of the farmers in the area.
You could come by anytime of the day and find them
at a game of checkers or just catching up on the latest gossip.

Built around 1925, this cotton gin is located on Boyd Street. The two-story frame structure, which is the main building, is weatherboarded and has a metal roof. One end houses the scales, while the loading dock is at the other end. There are also a few storage buildings on the site, a cottonseed storage bin and a gristmill. The gin stopped functioning in 1959. These buildings are set to be torn down soon and apartments put in its place.
