Welcome to Maiden, North Carolina

We are located about six miles south of the city of Newton, on U.S. Highway 321-Business.
Our town was incorporated on March 7, 1883, but was settled nearly 100 years before.

Maiden's small town life is rich with history, which is something most of our younger
citizens do not know about. They and others, will be able to step back in time and see
the beautiful homes and buildings and meet the families that built this town.

Things of our not-so-distant past, such as penny candy at Slick's,
a trip to the Maiden Swimming Pool, or a cold drink at Campbell's Drug Store,
are remembered by most of us.
