BRAY, Nicholas Adams. I would like to make contact with descendants of Nicholas Adams BRAY who married Elizabeth Wickliff in Craven County on June 20, 1785. He died in 1816 and is buried at New Bern. He is said to have been from Conn. originally. Although his widow moved to GA after his death, his son William Wickliff BRAY and wife Hepsibeth MAUDINE/BRAY are believed to have remained in the area. Other known associated names are LIPSEY and SAUNDERS.

MAXWELL - Family tradition says that William MAXWELL (1777-1856) and his wife Charity (1787-1860) moved to Georgia from Jones County NC around 1805; however, I have not been able to trace the Jones County connection or break through the "brick wall" at William MAXWELL. Again, family tradiation says his father was Hugh MAXWELL. Anyone with info on the MAXWELL roots in Jones County, circa 1750-1810, please contact me.
