In the Name of GOD amen. I Joshua Walls of the state of North Carolina and county of Hyde Being weak in Body (But Blessed be GOD) of Sound and perfect mind and memory and Calling to mind that it is appointed for all men Once to Die do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament

that is to Say principally and First of all I Give and Recommend my Soul into the Hands of GOD that Gave it and my Body to be Buried in Decent and Christian like manner at the Discretion of my Executors Aand as Touching Such worldly Estate as it hath been pleas God to Bless me with in this life I Give and Bequeath Devise & Dispose of in the following manner, Viz

Firs[t] I Give and Bequeath unto Angelico Middyett my Horse Bridle & Saddle One Cow & Calf all my Hogs & Bees and my plantation tools and Kitchen furniture such as pots & pot iron & Cups Bowls Basins Dishes spoons and all my Household furniture Except One Bed and furniture.   To her During her Natural life and then to Mercy Midyett to her & her Heirs.

also I Lend to Angelico Midyett the use of My Houses Aand Orcyard & potatoe pach and a priviledg to Get fire wood During her life to be unintirupted.

Second I Give and Bequeath unto William ONeel Sr all the Land that I am now possess with to him and his Heirs forever.

Thirdly I Give and Give and Bequeath unto Levi ONeel One Bed and furniture my Gun to him & his Heirs and I Farther Give and Bequeath unto Christopher ONeel Sr and Christr ONeel Jr and William ONeel Jr & Neal Midyett all the Remainder of my Horse flesh & Cattle to be Eqully Divided among them four to them & their Heirs and if any Debts Should Come against me (for all the legatees in this my last Will and Testament Shall join and pay thim Equal alike
[inserted] except Angelico Midyett & Mercy Midyett [end insertion] and I Also Constitute and appoint William ONeel Sr & Christopher ONeel Jr My Executors to this my Last Will and Testament Made & Ordaind by me Joshua Walls Ratifying this and no other to be my last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have Hereunto Set my hand and Affixed my Seal this Sixth Day of February in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred & Three.

Signed Sealed and declard in the presence of us.  Enterlind with the words (Except Angelicho Midyett and Mercy Midyett) before Signd.

1 mare and colt, 1 horse, 10 head of cattle, 1 cart, 2 ploughs, 1 hammer & chizzel, 1 gun, 17 head hogs, 1 churn, 1 grindstone, 1 bee hive, 16 earthen plates, 1 chamber pot, 2 stone juggs, 1 hand mill, 1 pepper box
