In the name of God, Amen.  I William ONeal of the County of Hyde and State of North Carolina being of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be God do make and ordain this my Last Will and testament in manner and form as follows, that is to say--

Item 1st:  I give and bequeath to my dear wife Clarissa ONeal the plantation where I now live together with all the household and kitchen furniture and all my stock of horses, cattle, sheep and hogs also all the crop and farming tools of every description.

Item 2nd:  I give and bequeath to my death wife Clarissa ONeal the following negro slaves and their increase to wit: Dulb, Joseph, Bill, Arnett, Sylvester, John, Flinn, Graham, Angeline, Louiza.

Item 3rd:  I give and bequeath to my dear wife Clarissa ONeal all the Square timber which I may have on hand at my death.

Item 4th:  I give and bequeath to my niece Eliza Francis Fifty acres of land on Mount Pleasant.

Item 5th:  I give and bequeath to my dear wife Clarissa ONeal all the residue of my lands and all other property which I may have at my decease not herein named.

Lastly, I nominate and appoint my nephew Major ONeal Executor and my wife Clarissa ONeal Executrix to this my Last Will and Testament.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 30th day of November 1852.

    Then was this paper writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of William ONeal, deceased, exhibited for probate in Open Court by Clarissa ONeal the executrix therein named and the due execution by the said William ONeal is proved by the oath and examination of Wallace Stow & Anson Credle two of the subscribing witnesses thereto.  It is therefore considered by the Court that the said paper writing and every part thereof is the last Will and Testament of the said William ONeal and the same is ordered to be recorded and filed.  And thereupon the said Clarissa ONeal executrix as aforesaid duly qualified as such by taking the oath required by law.
