In the name of God Amen.  I Emmy Jarvis of the County of Hyde and State of North Carolina being weak in body but of a sound disposed mind and memory, knowing that it is appointed for all persons once to dye do recommend my soul unto the hand of Almighty God that gave it and my body to the Earth to be decently buried and as touching my worldly goods I give and bequeath as followeth, viz--

Item:  I give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved sister Rebecca Jarvis fifty acres of land lying on Swanquarter being one half of an undivided tract of land that was gave to me and the said Rebecca Jarvis by our Aunt Agness Jarvis containing one hundred acres as the will of the said Agness Jarvis will more plainly shew.

I also constitute and appoint William Watson whole and sole Executor to this my last will and Testament & revoking all other will or wills by me made declaring this to be the last and accordingly have duly ratifyed the same in witness whereof I have this 22 day of August 1830 set my hand and affixed my seal.  Signed sealed and executed in the presence of
