In the name of God Amen. I Christian Hamilton of the above State and County named do make ordain and constitute this to be my last Will and Testament.  In the following words (to wit) after my body being decently buried and all my honest Just and lawful Debts paid I Give and bequeath to my Daughter Mary A. Best the sum of Five shillings to my Daughter Nancy P. Oneal the sum of Five shillings and to my Grand son George R. Pugh Fifty acres of land being and lying on Chickamacomico Banks also Fifteen acres of land more or less at long shoal one Bed stead & Bed also the remainder of my estate being in a perfect state of mind and health I appoint and constitute my truly and trusty friend George R. Pugh Executer to my last will & testament utterly foresaking all others by me or for me in any wise given under my hand & seal in the presence of these witnesses this Nov. 10 day A D. 1855.

    Then was the paper writing purporting to be the last will and Testament of Christian Hamilton decd. exhibited in Open Court & the execution thereof by the Said Christian Hamilton was proved by the Oath of examination of ohn A Roper one of the subscribing witnesses thereto.   It is therefore ordered by the Court that the said paper writing and every part thereof is the last will & testament of the C. Hamilton and the same is ordered to be recorded
