In the name of God Amen

I, Christopher C. Flowers of the county of Hyde and the State of North Carolina, being very sick and expecting shortly to die do now make and declare this to be my last will and Testament in manner of form following

Namely first I recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it, my Body to be buried in a Christian like manner at the discretion of my Executor.

Secondly as respect the worldly Estate which I possess I give and bequeth unto my beloved Wife Elizabeth Flowers, my dwelling House and land wherein I now reside with all improvements There unto attached during her natural life at her death.

I devise and bequeth the same unto Christopher C. F. Miller the piece of Land adjoining the Said lot just bequeathed I give & bequeath unto Elizabeth Hooper to her other heirs forever. I give and bequeath unto my wife Elizabeth three Choice Hogs, and six choice Sheep, my Boat frame and my canoe I desire to be sold to pay my debts, also all my tools to be sold also including everything else that I possess. I desire shall be sold to pay my debts. All that remains after paying my just debts I desire shall be equally divided between the three heirs or legatees above mentioned.

Lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint friend, Joseph C Jennett, my sole Executor to settle this my last Will and Testament as hereby directed and agreeable to law.

In testimony whereof I the said Christopher C. Flowers have hereunto set my hand and seal at Kinekeet Banks the 20th day of September AD 1850.

    Then was the within paper writing produced in open court and the proper execution thereof by the testator was proved in due form of Law by the Oaths of Joshua H. Daily and Zion B. Jennett the subscribing witnesses to the same and it was ordered to be recorded and filed at the Same time Joseph C. Jennett the executor named in said will came into court and duly qualified as such according to law.
