In the name of God Amen.  I Pharoah Farrow of the County of Hyde and State of North Carolina being very sick and weak of body but of sound mind and memory thanks be given to God for it believing that I must shortly depart this mortal life do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following.  First I bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it and my body into the hands of my executors to be buried in a Christian like manner at the discretion of my executors.  secondly as respects the earthly substance that it hath pleased God to bless me with I desire that my executors shall sell all my chattle and perishable property or so much thereof as will satisfy all my just debts and should there anything remain after paying all charges I desire it to be paid to my wife Sarah Farrow.  Thirdly and lastly I nominate and appoint Abram Farrow my executor to settle my estate after my decease.  In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand & seal at Kinekeet Banks in the county of Hyde & state of North Carolina aforesaid.  Feby. 27th 1847

    Then was a paper writing purporting to be the last will & testament of Pharoah Farrow, dec'd., produced in open court and the due execution thereof proved in open court by the oaths of Joshua H. Daily and N.H. Farrow the subscribing witnesses to the same.  When if was ordered to be recorded at the same time Abraham Farrow the executor named in said will came into open court and duly qualified as such according to law.  Ordered to be recorded & filed.
