Napoleon Howard Farrow - 1847

Aug. 25, 1847 - Administrator's bond for $4000 signed by Thomas Ballance, adm'r., with Cason G. Spencer and Peledge W. Spencer as his surities

Aug. 1847 - Item states he left a widow and a family of several children [further research has shown no children for this marriage]

Sept. 20, 1847 - Account of Sales by Thomas Ballance, administrator

Aug. Court 1849 - Petition of Henderson S. Scarboro and wife Anna, Rosa Gray widow of Damon Gray, Jesse Gray and wife Jane, Christopher Farrow, Dorcas Farrow, Bateman Price and wife Brittania, Mary Farrow infant by Israel Brooks guardian, John P. Farrow, William Brinn and wife Christiana, Hezekiah Barnet and wife Sarah, Ignatius Scarboro and wife Esther, Stancil Scarboro and wife Rosa Farrow Scarboro, Betsy Scarboro infant by Warren Spencer guardian, and Isaac & Thomas Price by Bateman Price guardian, against Thomas Ballance, adm'r. of Napoleon Howard Farrow, state that they are all distributees of the said estate and that Howard Farrow died in July 1847.

Aug. Court 1849 - Anna Farrow, widow of Howard Farrow, petitions the court for her dower.  She states that he left no children and that she is now married to Henderson S. Scarboro; mentions land at Kinnekeet Banks which had descended to Howard Farrow from his father.

    1. Napoleon Howard Farrow (Feb. 9, 1828-July 10, 1847) - s/o Pharoah Farrow (1770-1840) and his 2nd wife, Mary "Polly".
    2. Anna, widow of Napoleon Howard Farrow, was Anna W. Midgett (b. c1826), d/o Nichodemus Midgett.  She married Napoleon before July 1847 and Henderson S. Scarborough before Aug. 1849.
    3. Rosa, widow of Damon/Dameron Gray, was Rosetta/Rosamon Farrow (b. Dec. 10, 1812), d/o Pharoah Farrow (1770-1840) and his 1st wife, Rosannah (1780-1816)
    4. Jane, wife of Jesse Gray, was Jane Farrow (1829-c1851), d/o Pharoah Farrow (1770-1840) and his 2nd wife, Mary "Polly"
    5. Christopher Farrow (1803-1850), s/o Pharoah Farrow (1770-1840) and his 1st wife, Rosannah (1780-1816).  Christopher married Jane Williams
    6. Dorcas Farrow (b. 1820), d/o Pharoah Farrow (1770-1840) and his 2nd wife, Mary "Polly"
    7. Brittania Price (b. c1829), possibly d/o Pharoah Farrow (1770-1840) and his 2nd wife, Mary "Polly"
    8. Mary Farrow - possibly d/o Isaac L. & Dorcas Farrow and granddaughter of Pharoah Farrow (1770-1840)
    9. John P. Farrow (1825-aft. 1880) - possibly s/o Pharoah Farrow (1770-1840) and his 2nd wife, Mary "Polly"
  10. Christiana Brinn, wife of William Brinn - nothing else known
  11. Sarah Barnet (c1819), 2nd or 3rd wife of Hezekiah Barnett (1813-1866) - possibly d/o Pharoah Farrow (1770-1840) and his 2nd wife, Mary "Polly"
  12. Esther Scarborough, wife of Ignatius Scarborough - nothing else known
  13. Rosa Scarboro (b. c1820), wife of Stancil Scarboro (c1812-bef. 1880) - possibly d/o Pharoah Farrow (1770-1840) and his 2nd wife, Mary "Polly"
  14. Betsy Scarboro - possibly Elizabeth Jane "Betsy" Scarborough (b. c1836), d/o William Scarborough and Christian (Farrow) Scarborough [dec'd. Oct. 1846] and possible granddaughter of Pharoah Farrow (1770-1840)
  15. Isaac F. Price (b. c1844) - s/o Bateman & Brittania Price and possible grandson of Pharoah Farrow (1770-1840)
  16. Thomas G. Price (b. c1845) - s/o Bateman & Brittania Price and possible grandson of Pharoah Farrow (1770-1840)
