In the name of God, Amen.  I William Eborn of Hyde County, N.C. being of a sound mind & disposing memory, but in feeble health, do make & declare this to be my last Will & testament in the following manner, to wit: I loan to my beloved wife Ellen all of my land where I formerly lived adjoining my son Moses Davis to have during her life time and after her death to my son Michael & daughter Mahaly & Michael having the South portion & Mahaly the North portion to use and after their death to their children, the said land to be divided equally between the said Michael & Mahaly for them & their children.

I give to my wife Ellen Eborn all of my personal property of every description for her use & support & after her death what remains after her death I want my son Moses to have any that be left to pay him for his kindness & his trouble and expenses.

I constitute and appoint my beloved son Moses Davis my Executor to carry out the above provisions.  Given under my hand & seal this 4th day March A.D. 1885

State of North Carolina        In the Superior Court
       Hyde County
    A paper writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Will. Eborn, deceased, is exhibited before me the undersigned Clerk of the Superior Court for said County, by Moses Davis, the executor therein mentioned, and the due execution thereof by the said Will. Eborn by the oath and examination of M.B. Davis and Julius Davis, the subscribing witnesses thereto: who being duly sworn, doth depose and say, and each for himself deposeth and saith,  that he is a subscribing witness to the paper-writing now shown him purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Will. Eborn.  That the said Will. Eborn in the presence of this deponent made his mark at the end of said paper writing which is now shown as aforesaid, and which bears date of the 4th day of March 1885.
 And the deponent further saith, that the said Will. Eborn, the testator aforesaid, did, at the time of making his mark as aforesaid, declare the said paper-writing so subscribed by him and exhibited to be his last Will and Testament, and this deponent did thereupon subscribe his name at the end of said Will, as an attesting witness thereto and at the request and in the presence of the said testator.  And this deponent further saith, that at the time the said testator made his mark to the last Will as aforesaid, and at the time of the deponent's subscribing his name as an attesting witnesses thereto, as aforesaid, the said Will Eborn was of sound mind and memory, of full age to execute a Will and was not under any restraint to the knowledge, information or belief of this deponent.  And further these deponents say not.
