Return to Hyde County

Minnie Spencer Credle
Dec. 29, 1945 - Nov. 11, 1947
Will Bk. 13; pgs. 489-493  [Typed version transcribed in 1974 by Walter A. Credle, CSC]

Since the death of my beloved husband it is necessary that I make another Will and I do make and declare this to be my Last Will and Testament.

I appoint my nephew H.C. Carter Atty., executor to my Will.   Clay, I am a member of the Burial Association and do not let my burial cost any more than the Association gives.  Do not emblam me any more than Mr. Berry can do.  Place my body by the side of my husband on the North side.  After my burial take charge of my home and I suggest you have Jennie, Lucille and Robena assist in giving the articles named on another sheet to the ones named--some are marked.  If there is anything in the house or out that has not been marked to another that you want, take it.

I would like for all my nieces and nephews to have something if they want it.  What is not wanted and left sell.  If I have not marked our graves place a double marker or monument to our graves with the money I will leave for it and all over to you.

To my nieces Jennie Carter Midyette and Robena Midyette I leave my house and lot.  If Jennie should pass away first her interest to go to Robena.  Should Robena pass away first her interest to Jennie.  Jennie gave me a home when I had none and she and Robena have been so good to Credle and me all these years, it is my hearts wish that you live in the house and take life easier. I am giving this with love and affection for what you have done for Credle and me.

My last will and testament
